"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn"

"Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way"

Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio.
This site has been created to showcase my experience as a teacher, the highlights of my time spent as an educator, and what I have learned along my journey!
About Marty
I am an upbeat, enthusiastic person with a passion for teaching and learning.
I currently hold my license as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. I completed my undergrad at Brock University(B.Ed), McMaster University(B.Tech), and my three-year Technology Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Mohawk College.
I grew up, and live in Brantford, Ontario, and have had the experience of raising two lovely children who are currently pursuing their own passions for learning at the post-secondary level. My third child is my German Shepard, who brings a smile to my face every morning. In my spare time, I play organized hockey, ball hockey, volleyball, and jogging. For the past few years, I have been educating myself in photography, videography, and Photoshop.
I have 10 years of experience teaching at the college level, as well as college-level courses to grade twelve students enrolled in Dual Credit programs. I have volunteered as a minor hockey and soccer coach for over twenty years. In my experience over these years, I have discovered my true passion for teaching.
